Per celebrare il 30° anniversario di The Joshua Tree la band rilascerà, il 2 giugno prossimo, un cofanetto in versione limitata destinata ai collezionisti.
In esso sono contenuti: la registrazione audio del concerto al Madison Square Garden di New York del 1987, le b-sides dei singoli originali e nuovi remix fatti da Daniel Lanois, St Francis Hotel, Jacknife Lee, Steve Lillywhite e Flood; inoltre contiene un libro di 84 pagine con delle foto personali scattate da The Edge durante la famosa session fotografica del 1986 al Mojave Desert e mai pubblicate.
“Quando vedo che persone eravamo allora,” scrive The Edge nella sua introduzione, “vedo un gruppo di pellegrini in cammino verso una sorta di casa creativa. Penso che abbia davvero catturato lo spirito della band in quel momento.”
